Firstly, I am so glad you have made your way to my website and ….. HELLO.

I am an accredited qualified Counsellor in East Lothian and Edinburgh. 

 

I am certified under Scotland’s professional body for Counselling and Psychotherapy (COSCA).

I offer short and long term therapy to adults.  I trained in London at the renowned Metanoia Institute and achieved a Bsc in Reflective Therapeutic Practice/Diploma in Humanistic Counselling. 

I really do understand that making the first call to a Counsellor can be nerve-racking and you may feel anxious. You may have done it as a last resort, believing "I thought I could handle this on my own."

Why you may be seeking counselling


You know, there are times when life just doesn’t go as planned. Stress, conflict, fear, uncertainty, sadness and anxiety take over and it can be very hard for you to go through this alone. Reaching out to a professional Counsellor is actually a very brave, important step in the process of beginning to take care of you. You don't have to handle it by yourself and please give yourself a pat on the back for the courage in taking the first step. There is no shame in reaching out and it really is okay to ask for help - honest!   Confidentiality is absolutely guaranteed.

Pathways to Wellness

Pathways to Wellness is an investment in you. As part of my counselling practice,  I will introduce you to a model to help support our work together.   

 

You will see that the Pathway to Wellness has 6 dimensions to it, but we normally only focus on 2 components of wellness - diet and exercise - which means there can be a void in other parts of your life which may be causing you to feel lost, anxious, confused or overwhelmed. 

 

Through counselling, we will look at how you can create a balance in each of the dimensions to create the life you want and deserve.

I am confident that by working together, it is possible to feel relief from difficult and challenging emotions and increase hopeful feelings that solutions are possible.
